Nipun Mehta
Founder of Servicespace
Nipun Mehta (he/him) is a designer of large-scale social movements that are rooted in small acts of service and powered by micro moments of inner transformation. Among many other initiatives, he is the founder of ServiceSpace and ServiceSpace AI, an incubator of projects that works at the intersection of volunteerism, technology and gift economy. What started as an experiment with four friends in Silicon Valley has now grown to a global ecosystem of over 1.5 million members that has delivered millions of dollars in service for free. Nipun has received many awards, including the Dalai Lama's Unsung Hero of Compassion, the 2019 Goi Peace Award, and an appointment to President Barack Obama’s council on poverty and inequality.
session description
After members of our community enthusiastically recommended his presentation on AI and Transformation at the 2023 Inner Development Goals Summit, we invited Nipun to wrap up The Conference on a note of hope. He’ll talk about developing and deploying compassionate technologies—including AI—that amplify patterns of positive deviance and foster transformation at the intersection of algorithmic intelligence, evolutionary intuition, and collective emergence.
He’ll share insights gained from more than 25 years at ServiceSpace, developing "many to many" networks of community builders catalysing deeper human capacities for abundant, regenerative, joyful service and relationships with oneself, each other and our systems.
